Life Story Network are looking to recruit a Training and Development Manager to bring in new training contracts, deliver training sessions and develop new training resources.  The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering our trade offer with health and social care customers.  Life Story Network has a track record of delivering high quality training based around the life stories of those that are often overlooked.  Our approach creates lasting changes in those who receive the training and those they support.

The Role

As Training and Development Manager you will be responsible for the selling and delivery of our training offer across the UK.  We look to generate a sufficient income from training activities to fund this post in the long term.  Another key element of this role will be to update and develop new training products to meet emerging market needs.  You will be responsible for building and managing relations with existing and new customers to secure and deliver training contracts.  You will be a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial approach able to take responsibility for our training offer ensuring it meets high quality standards and generates a sustainable income.
Location:  Home working with travel to clients across the UK but predominantly the North of England.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.

Hours: 35 hours per week

Duration: 6 months – With possible extension based on business income.

About You

As Training and Development Manager, you will:
• Have experience of developing and delivering high quality health and social care training.
• Have experience of generating a profitable income from training delivery.
• Have knowledge of marketing and sales of training products.
• Have understanding of accreditation processes.
• Willing to travel across the UK with overnight stays
• Have a ‘hands on’, ‘can do’ attitude to developing LSN as a social enterprise.
