The right people will be committed to ensuring that carers of people with dementia are respected, valued and provided with the opportunities to shape, influence and inform the future direction of dementia policy, research, commissioning, training and practice in each country. A key task will be to put a learning and development infrastructure in place to empower carers and former carers to have a collective voice.
