Department of Health Survey

As part of the Department of Health’s Dementia 2020 Citizens’ Engagement Programme and building on the work of the Dementia 2020 Challenge Implementation Plan, the following national survey has been developed in collaboration with dementia organisations and people with dementia and their carers. It will seek views about the quality and experience of getting a diagnosis, the level of care and support received after a diagnosis as well as people’s understanding of dementia in local communities.

The survey is for:

• any person in England who currently provides unpaid care or support to a family member, friend or neighbour who has been diagnosed with dementia in the last two years (between November 2014 and November 2016)

• any person in England who has received a diagnosis of dementia in the last two years (between November 2014 and November 2016)

Carers and former carers from tide have been involved with the Engagement Programme and were consulted and contributed to the design stage of the survey, so we would actively encourage you to take part if you qualify.
